Jaisalmer: Female soldiers with India's Border Security Force or BSF performed asanas on the country's borders to the seventh International Yoga Day.
The troops performed yoga at their posts in Jaisalmer in Rajasthan on the country's border with Pakistan. Together with soldiers from the army, the troops performed yoga and pranayama in the Thar desert with the stunning sand dunes in the background. Thar desert is a place where the temperature touches 50 degrees in summer and slips to minus during winters. Briefing people over the importance of doing yoga, BSF officers shared a message on keeping the body and mind fit and healthy. According to them, doing yoga brings health and prosperity.
Border Security Force personnel also did yoga on the foothills of Shahgarh Fort in Rajasthan.
