Chandigarh: The rebellion within Congress deepened after Navjot Kaur Sidhu, wife of Navjot Singh Sidhu stepped down from the Congress party today. According to reports, Navjot Kaur Sidhu has quit the primary membership of the Congress party in Punjab and is likely to take up social work.
Prior to the Lok Sabha 2019 elections in May, she had expressed his displeasure over the ticket distribution.
Earlier, her husband and Congress leader Sidhu had resigned as a minister from the Amarinder Singh cabinet after a cabinet reshuffle, wherein Singh divested Sidhu of key portfolios including local government, tourism and cultural affairs.
