Four die after consuming spurious liquor in Punjab

As many as four persons lost their lives after consuming spurious liquor at Muchhal village in Punjab's Amritsar district. All the victims belonged to families below the poverty line. Meanwhile, a four-member SIT has been constituted under a superintendent of police to investigate the case.

Amritsar: Four persons died on Thursday after consuming spurious country-made liquor at Muchhal village nearly 25 kilometres away from the Amritsar city.

All the victims belonged to families below the poverty line.

Among the four dead, one was identified as Kuldip Singh, 24.

Police said that they are probing the matter.

Meanwhile, a four-member SIT has been constituted under a superintendent of police to investigate the case.
