Amritsar: Famous singer Diljaan Singh was killed in a road accident in Punjab Tuesday morning. Reports said the singer lost control of his car at Jandiala Guru town about 30 kilometres south of Amritsar.
The Punjabi singer was travelling from Amritsar to Kartarpur when his car - a Mahindra KUV 100 - crashed into a truck on Jandiala Guru bridge, police said.
Passersby rushed the singer to a hospital where doctors said he had died, according to reports.
The singer was on his way to work on his new song set for release on April 2.
The music industry has sad it was saddened by the news of Singh's death. Sufi singer Lakhwinder Wadali and many prominent singers expressed their grief on Twitter.
