Chandigarh: The Congress high command has appointed Navjot Singh Sidhu as the Chief of Punjab Congress. Tomorrow, Sidhu will officially take charge of the Punjab Congress unit in an official ceremony. His rival and Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh has also agreed to join his official appointment ceremony. On Wednesday, several Congress MLAs had reached Captain Amarinder's Siswan farmhouse to invite him for the ceremony. The Punjab CM has unconditionally accepted the invitation.

According to the information, Navjot Singh Sidhu and Chief Minister Amarinder Singh will be present at the Punjab Bhawan along with Congress MLAs and cabinet ministers tomorrow. Congress MLA from Fatehgarh Sahib seat, Kuljit Singh Nagra gave this information following the meeting with CM Amarinder Singh.

Jalalabad MLA Raminder Singh Awala said that we have reached CM's residence to invite him for the official ceremony. On the question of Captain Amarinder Singh's anger over Sidhu's continuous social media attacks, the Congress MLA said that all is well in Congress and the CM is not angry.
