Odisha: At least six children died of an unidentified disease during the last 15 days at Tamanpalli village under Kalimela block of Odisha's Malkangiri district, leaving residents in a state of panic.
As per the report, the victims of the disease were found with symptoms like cold, fever, vomiting and indigestion which lead to their death.
At least seven more children have been admitted to Kalimela Community Health Centre (CHC) with similar symptoms, said the CDMO who also linked it to malnutrition.

A team of doctors from Kalimela hospital visited the village to collect samples for ascertaining the cause behind the deaths.
The district administration has also launched a drive to sensitize the villagers and curtail the further spread of the disease.
Villagers are horrified as in 2016 around 105 children died in the district due to the outbreak of Japanese Encephalitis (JE).
