Bhubaneswar: Odisha on Monday received much-awaited Geographical Indication (GI) tag for its own version of Rasagola.The name of the Geographical Indication to be read as "Odisha Rasagola".
The Chennai based Geographical Indication (GI) registry issued a formal certificate for 'Odisha Rasgulla'on its website.
The people of Odisha can breathe a sigh of relief as their favourite sweet 'Rasagola' has received the GI tag.
Odisha Small Industries Corporation Limited and Utkal Mistanna Byabasayee Samiti are the registered proprietors of the GI tag.
