Odisha: Man arrested for selling fake ID cards

The accused allegedly admitted to have designed ID cards and passes, and sold them to people for Rs 50 each. The buyers used to move around freely during the lockdown flashing these ID cards

Bhubaneswar (Odisha): The Commissionerate Police on Tuesday arrested a person from Damana area here on charges of selling fake ID cards of various companies to people for their free movement during the lockdown.

Acting on a tip-off, a team of officials from Chandrasekharpur police station carried out raids at his house and caught him red-handed.

The accused allegedly admitted to have designed ID cards and passes, and sold them to people for Rs 50 each. Many such fake passes were seized from his house.
