Odia question paper leaks on the 1st-day of HSC board exams

Four sets of MIL (Odia) language question papers of the HSC class 10 exams were on Friday allegedly leaked and circulated on social media shortly after the commencement of the exams.

Bhubaneswar: MIL (Odia) question papers of the HSC class 10 exams were allegedly leaked and circulated on social media shortly after the commencement of the exams on Friday.

The incident was reported from Odisha's Kandhamal district as four sets of MIL (Odia) language question papers were circulated over Whatsapp.

Meanwhile, School and Mass Education Minister Badri Narayan Patra denied the reports terming it as a rumour.

Talking to media Patra told that the examinations were carried out under tight security arrangements. "Question papers were kept securely and dispatched to exam centres at 8 am with police security. Hence, there is no chance of leaking of question papers and all such rumours are false," he added.

Meanwhile, the minister assured, there will be a high-level enquiry over the rumours of question paper leak over social media. The leaked question paper will be verified weather of this year or the previous year, he said.

At least 5.72 lakh students are appearing for the annual HSC examinations 2019 conducted by the Board of Secondary Education of Odisha.
