Nashik (Maharashtra): The Nashik police has felicitated a lady from Ashoknagar for her brave act defending against a robber who allegedly broke-in into her office and threatened to kill her.
Savitha Mryutdak, owns a customer service centre and carries out financial work at her shop in Ashoknagar's Satpur area.
Few days ago, a thief entered her shop and locked the door from inside. Following which, he demanded money from her and also threatened to slit her neck with a knife.
Savitha immediately tried to defend herself and fought with the robber.
Witnessing the aggressive defence by Savitha, the robber could only manage to flee away with her mobile phone.
The entire incident was recorded in the CCTV camera installed at Savitha's shop, which was later recovered and handed over to the police for further investigation.
The Nashik police were surprised by the way Savitha fought with the robber and the police commissioner, Vishwas Nangre Patil felicitated Savita for her outstanding presence of mind and brave act.
