Mumbai: Two people killed and around eight were injured in a hit-and-run case in Navi Mumbai's Kamothe. The driver of the car is absconding after the incident.
According to reports, the Skoda car had rammed into several carts at a vegetable market in the area before mowing down people in the Sector-5 area of Kamothe.
While the deceased have been identified as Sarthak Chopra and Vaibhav, the condition of three of the eight injured continues to be critical. The injured are currently undergoing treatment at MGM hospital.
The car allegedly hit four vehicles which also included a school bus.
With investigations underway, a massive hunt has been launched to track the driver.
