THANE: A female intern journalist of 'India Unbound' news magazine and her friend have been arrested by police for killing a senior colleague, on Tuesday.
Reportedly, the female intern Ankita Mishra (24) was in an allegedly relationship with the deceased, Nityanand Pandey (46).
She was working for the magazine for the past three years.
Ankita has alleged that the reason for the murder was continuous demands for sexual favors from Nityanand, since two years.
The printing of 'India Unbound' was done at a printing press run by Satish Umashankar Mishra (34).
Satish was constantly visiting the magazine's office in Mira Road as his payment dues were not cleared.
He then got acquainted with Ankita, who later shared her alleged sexual assault by Nityanand with him.
Following which, both hatched a plan to kill Nityanand.
Ankita reportedly took the deceased to an unknown place, to show a new plot to him and allegedly spiked his protein drink, thus making him unconscious.
Nityanand had gone missing since March 15 and his dead body was found on March 17 at a deserted nala at Khardi village of Bhiwandi taluka.
Initial police investigation has revealed that Ankita andd Satish were allegedly involved in the crime.
