Mumbai: Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut on Thursday criticised the Union Cabinet expansion by launching a scathing attack on the newly appointed Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. He said that the Modi government has given a portfolio to such a minister who has nothing to do with the education ministry. Speaking during the inauguration of Mumbai Public School at Vikhroli, Raut said that people who have no connection with education have been given education ministry.
"Dharmendra Pradhan, who is a former Petroleum Minister has now been made the Education Minister under the new Modi Cabinet. Before Pradhan, Ramesh Pokhriyal 'Nishank', who himself never went to school, was holding the education ministry portfolio. Even Smriti Irani, who used to do modelling was given the portfolio. Such people were made education minister who did not even care about their education," he alleged.
