Yavatmal: In a sheer case of medical negligence, as many as 12 children were taken ill after they were administered sanitiser by mistake during a polio vaccination program in Maharashtra.
The incident was reported at Ghatanji Primary Health Center where children started vomiting and they were rushed to Yavatmal District Government Medical College for the treatment.
The deputy collector visited the hospital and enquired about the condition of children.
He further directed Zila Parishad's Chief Executive Officer Shrikrishna Panchal to investigate the matter.
