The wedding of Nikunj of Gujarat and Harini Joshi from Nasik was set to take place in a grand manner in this month, anticipating an end to the lockdown, but the extension forced them to observe a humble wedding.

Both families had requested the Gujarat government to permit them to hold the wedding. Due to the lockdown pressure, Nikunj alone came for the marriage in Nasik with the permission of the Gujarat government. The marriage was solemnized as per Vedic rites. The wedding rituals took place in the presence of the bride's family member at the bride's house. The family of Nikunj joined the ceremony at a video conference.

On being informed about this marriage, deputy police commissioner Ashok Nakhate, senior inspector Anchal Mudgal, Sunil Rohkale reached the ceremony place.
