Mumbai: As the citizens in Mumbai are taking utmost care while purchasing vegetables by wearing masks, frequently sanitizing their hands, and cleaning all the objects in daily use to avoid Coronavirus infection, a shocking incident has been unearthed on Wednesday in Mumbai's Shivdi east Koliwada by locals.
A vegetable vendor was seen selling vegetables which he had lifted from a garbage bin.
According to locals, a vegetable vendor in the Koliwada area straightaway lifted a vegetable sack from the garbage and sold the rotten vegetables to the citizens on his handcart.
The vendor was selling vegetables and grapes which were thrown into the garbage bin. An alert citizen unearthed this terrible incident and posted this incident's video on social media. A local resident Rupesh Dherange immediately warned the vendor and asked him to throw all his vegetables in the garbage, locals said.
"Mumbaiites are extremely worried about rapidly increasing Corona patients in the city. BMC is also instructing us to comply with lockdown rules very strictly. The people in Mumbai are taking extra caution while buying vegetables like wearing masks, frequently cleaning hands, sanitizing objects of daily use. But such a shocking incident of playing with our lives is really shameful," said Rupesh Dherange, a local.
