Mumbai: 2 die in Ghatkopar fire incident

A level-four fire has broken out in Mumbai's Ghatkopar area. The deceased were identified as Aarti Jaiswal and Piyush Katadia.

Mumbai (Maharashtra): Two bodies have been recovered from a garment godown, which was gutted in a fire in the western suburb of Saki Naka on Friday evening.

Aarti Lalji Jaiswal (25) and Piyush Dheeraj Katadiya (42) were found dead in the garment unit in the early hours of Saturday, deputy commissioner of police (zone 10) Piyush Goel said.

The bodies have been sent to Rajawadi Hospital for autopsy, he added.

"An accidental death report has been registered in this regard," Goel said, adding that the search is on for few more people who have been reported missing in the fire.

A huge fire broke out in the godowns at Ashapura compound on Khairani road in Saki Naka on Friday evening, for which 10 fire tenders and nine water tankers were pressed into service.

According to reports, the fire was confined to 30 to 35 godowns, where some chemicals had been stored, the official added.

Intro:मुंबई - साकीनाका खैराणी रोड येथील आशापुरा कंपाउंडला काल सायंकाळी भीषण आग लागली. या आगीत ३० ते ३५ गाळे जळून खाक झाले आहेत. अग्निशमन आगीवर नियंत्रण मिळवल्यावर शोध मोहीम सुरू असताना दोन जणांचे मृतदेह मिळाले आहेत. हे मृतदेह राजावाडी रुग्णालयात पाठवण्यात आल्याची माहिती अग्निशमन दलाकडून देण्यात आली आहे.Body:काल सायंकाळी ५:२० वाजताच्या सुमारास खैरानी रोड, साकीनाका, कुर्ला (पश्चिम) येथे कारखान्यांमधील इलेक्ट्रिक वस्तूंना आग लागली होती सदरची आग सायंकाळी ५:३९ वाजता लेवल ३ ची असल्याचे मुंबई अग्निशमन दलाकडून घोषित करण्यात आले. आग लागलेल्या ठिकाणी केमिकल असल्याने आग आणखी भडकली. लेव्हल ४ ची म्हणजेच भीषण आग असल्याचे अग्निशमन दलाने जाहीर केले. भारत पेट्रोलियम, हिंदुस्तान पेट्रोलियम, इंडियन ऑइल आदी प्रशासनाच्या अग्निशमन दललाही घटनास्थळी सज्ज ठेवण्यात आले होते. सदर घटनास्थळी मुंबई अग्निशमन केंद्राचे १६ फायर इंजिन, २ वॉटर टँकर, १० जम्बो वॉटर टँकर उपस्थित होते. सदरची आग रात्रौ ११:१७ वाजताच्या सुमारास नियंत्रणात आली आहे. सदरच्या घटनेत २ व्यक्ती मृत झाल्या असून शोध मोहीम सुरू असल्याची माहिती अग्निशमन दलाकडून देण्यात आली आहे. २ व्यक्तींचे मृतदेह पालिकेच्या राजावाडी रुग्णालयात पाठवण्यात आले आहेत.

१) आरती लालजी जैस्वाल (स्त्री/२५ वर्षे)

२) पियूष धीरज काताडीया (पु/ ४२ वर्षे)
