Raigad (Maharashtra): In a tragic incident, two children died of suffocation after accidentally getting locked inside a car in Maharashtra's Raigad district.
The incident occurred in Mahad taluka's Nangalvaadi village, where two boys got inside a parked car while playing.
The doors of the car got locked with the two boys inside. Though the kids tried to open the doors, they were unable to do so, and eventually died inside the car itself.
The two deceased have been identified as Suhail Khan (6) and Abbas Khan (4).
In a similar incident earlier this year in August, three children in Andhra Pradesh's Krishna district died of suffocation after accidentally getting locked inside a car while playing.
In June, four children accidentally locked themselves in a car and two of them died due to suffocation in Uttar Pradesh's Moradabad. The two other children were hospitalised in a critical condition, but survived.
