Ratnagiri (Maharashtra): A week after Ratnagiri police seized cocaine worth Rs 5 lakh, two more drug peddlers including an Air Force employee have been arrested by the police bringing to five the total arrests in the drug case.
Earlier, three were arrested along with two personnel of the Coast Guard in connection with the case.
Reportedly, the Ratnagiri police conducted a raid in Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC) area on July 7 and seized 29 grams of cocaine worth Rs 5 lakh.
An interrogation was held with one of the accused Ram Chandra after he was seen talking on the phone frequently with Mukesh Sharon, the mastermind in the case.
Ram Chandra revealed the name of the two more guilty in the case and subsequently, police squads were formed to capture them.
Following which two accused identified as Mukesh Sharon and Ankit Singh were arrested from Chennai and Rajasthan respectively.
A local court has directed the duo to present before the court on Monday.
