International Boat Club inaugurated at Nashik's Gangapur Dam

Mumbai: The long-awaited International Boat Club on Gangapur Dam in Nashik has finally started. This boat club under the Tourism Department is getting a good response from the tourists.

A boat club as per international standards has been set up on Gangapur dam in Nashik with the idea of Chhagan Bhujbal, the then Tourism Minister of the state and the present Guardian Minister of Nashik district. Tourists will be able to enjoy an international standard boat ride in this boat club.

Presence of international boats
Tourists will be able to enjoy single mission boats, kayaking boats, speed boats, banana boats and luxurious cruising boats at the International Boat Club in Nashik.

150 tourists visited on the first day
On the first day, tourists from local and other states visited the boat club and the sunset rides, a feature of the boat club, were well received by the tourists and a revenue of Rs 17000 was earned. The tourist department has said. The tourist department has said that tourists will visit the boat club as soon as the boat club changes become known to the tourists.

Special care for tourist safety
As the water level of Nashik Gangapur Dam is deep. Tourists must wear life jackets before boarding each boat. According to the age group of tourists, 500 life jackets have been provided here.

Booking can be done online

Tourists can book boating by downloading the Book My Show app, and also get tickets by scanning the QR code at the golf clubs and boat clubs of the tourism department. A boat ride for a single person costs Rs 531 and for five persons the rates are set at Rs 2,400 for the ride. There is a special rate for Sunrise and Sunset and an entry fee of Rs 50 is charged for visiting the boat club.
