Mumbai (Maharashtra): Nationalist Congress party President, Sharad Pawar said that he was never the director of the State Bank, and has nothing to do with the alleged loan frauds.
While addressing media here, he said that since a case has been registered, he has accepted the Enforcement Directorate's enquiry.
Pawar went ahead to congratulate the Centre for its move.
He further said that people responded to all his visits across the country and only Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis can tell about the enquiry being carried out against him.
A case has been registered against 70 political leaders from different parties, including the NCP President.
To this, Pawar said that he welcomed the way the Assembly was responding to the Centre's actions being taken just before Assembly elections.
Reportedly, his next campaign will commence within three to four days.
