A case has been registered against 70 political leaders from different parties, including NCP President Sharad Pawar in the alleged loan frauds of the State Bank. Pawar has accepted the Enforcement Directorate's enquiry and also congratulated the government for the move.

Mumbai (Maharashtra): Nationalist Congress party President, Sharad Pawar said that he was never the director of the State Bank, and has nothing to do with the alleged loan frauds.

While addressing media here, he said that since a case has been registered, he has accepted the Enforcement Directorate's enquiry.

Pawar went ahead to congratulate the Centre for its move.

He further said that people responded to all his visits across the country and only Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis can tell about the enquiry being carried out against him.

राज्य शिखर बँकेत मी कधीही संचालक नव्हतो त्यामुळे माझा याच्याशी कोणताही संबंध नाही परंतु ज्याप्रकारे निवडणुकीच्या तोंडावर आज गुन्हा दाखल करण्यात आल्याचे सांगितले जात आहे त्यावरून मी ईडीचे स्वागत करतो आणि सरकारचेही अभिनंदन करतो अशा शब्दात राष्ट्रवादी काँग्रेसचे अध्यक्ष शरद पवार यांनी माध्यमांशी बोलताना प्रतिक्रिया दिली.
राज्यभर मी केलेल्या दौऱ्यामुळे लोकांचा मिळालेला प्रतिसाद मिळत आहे. त्यामुळे माझ्यावर नेमकी ही कारवाई नेमकी कशासाठी हे हे फडवणीस यांनाच विचारा ते अधिक सांगू शकतील असा उपरोधक टोला पवार यांनी मुख्यमंत्र्यांना लगावला.
राज्यातील विविध पक्षांच्या 70 नेत्यांवर पुढे करून गुन्हे दाखल करण्यात आले असून त्यात शरद पवारांचे हे नाव असल्याचे सांगण्यात येते त्यावर पवार यांनी विधानसभा निवडणुकीच्या दरम्यान होत असलेल्या कारवाईवर आपली प्रतिक्रिया देत याचे आपण स्वागत करत असल्याचे ते म्हणाले. यापुढे राज्यात आपले दौरे कुठे थांबले जाणार नसून प्रचार माझा सुरूच राहणार आहे पुढील दौऱ्याची नियोजन हे दोन-तीन दिवसात मी करत असल्याचेही पवार यांनी सांगितले.
