COVID-19 lockdown: Amravati salon owner gives free services to old age people

A salon owner in Amravati, Samaritan Pramod Vaat is giving free services to old age home and school for mentally retarded children during the pandemic time. "In today’s world where man values money, but for me, service to mankind is greater than money," said Pramod.

Amravati: The lockdown imposed in the backdrop of Coronavirus has led to economic setback to everyone. Along with other businesses, the salon industry is also majorly affected because of this pandemic. Even to recover the loses, the barber association decided to increase charges for their services but a salon professional from Amravati is giving free salon service for the last 3 years.

This free service is given at old age home and school for mentally retarded children in Amravati.

Inspired by Sant Tukdoji Maharaj's ideology, Samaritan Pramod Vaat started giving free services and even in the hard time Pramod has not stopped his free service.

Pramod Vaat is devotionally serving the elderly who have only support of the old age home. Every month Samaritan Pramod comes to old age home and esquires about their health and gives free haircut and shaving.

Many elderly people live in old age home established by Rashtrasant Tukdoji Maharaj in Gurukunj Mozari in Amravati.

Pramod Vaat runs his salon business in a small 100 sq ft shop in Tivsa city of Amravati.

"In today’s world where man values money, but for me, service to mankind is greater than money," said Pramod.

Notably, keeping in mind the threat due to coronavirus, Pramod is taking all the necessary precautions while offering any service.

Lockdown imposition in the country has affected all the businesses whereas, Pramod hasn't stopped his good work towards needy.
