Mumbai: The Bombay High Court on Friday ordered Breach Candy Hospital not to discharge Delhi University associate professor Honey Babu till June 1.
Professor Honey Babu was arrested in the Elgar Parishad-Maoists links case. He was accused of promoting Maoist activities and ideology.

He was admitted to the hospital after getting positive for coronavirus.
During the hearing, the hospital also submitted a medical report to the court on his health condition and current treatment.

The bench said that if the hospital wishes to release Honey Babu before June 1 then it would have to inform the court and seek prior permission. As per doctors, Honey Babu's left eye is infected and if not treated on time, he is afraid to lose his eyesight.
