BJP office set on fire in Maharashtra's Jalgaon

Unidentified persons set ablaze a Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) district office in Maharashtra's Jalgaon on Sunday. The incident was first noticed by the locals this morning. Police have arrested a person and interrogating him.

Jalgaon (Maharashtra): A Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) district office in Maharashtra's Jalgaon set on fire on Sunday morning by some unknown miscreants.

However, any injuries or casualties were not reported.

The local police inspected the incident site and started an investigation into the matter.

The incident was first noticed by the locals this morning. They immediately alerted BJP workers and police about the incident.

"The party workers were working in the office till late at night and this morning we got the news that the office was in flames. We informed the police and a fire tender was rushed to the spot to control the flames. This office was belonging to former BJP leader Eknath Khadse, who recently joined NCP. We are suspecting that NCP workers' have done this," said a BJP worker.

"We have arrested a suspected person and started interrogating him. The actual cause behind the mishap will come after investigation," the police said.
