Mumbai: Maharashtra Navnirman Sena has put up banners that read 'Big B show big heart' outside Bollywood actor Amitabh Bachchan's residence in Juhu, Mumbai. The Sena members have been demanding demolition of Bachchan's compound wall to expand road in the area which is often hit by traffic bottlenecks.
One of the MNS members said they have appealed Big B to show big heart. He also added that civil survey officials have promised them that demarcation points have been ordered to be identified and the issue will be resolved in eight days. If there is no development, then we will strengthen the agitation, he said.

The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has now started acting on its 2017 notice to demolish a part of Bachchan's Prateeksha Bungalow for road expansion. The Bollywood superstar is yet to respond to the notice. The BMC has also directed Mumbai Suburban Collector City survey officials to demarcate the portion of the bungalow to be demolished for the road expansion, as per reports.

The lane leading from Prateeksha towards ISKCON temple is a troublesome way for commuters. Properties have been taken over to widen Sant Dnyaneshwar Marg, connecting Chandan Cinema area to Link Road. Reports said the stretch in front of Prateeksha is only left to be demolished. The BMC had demolished a building adjoining Prateeksha, but Bachchan's building was not intervened, irking local residents and commuters, as per reports.
