80-yr-old woman walked 175 kms in three days to reach home

As the number of corona patients is rising in Mumbai, people who work there are trying to reach their hometowns as soon as possible. An 80-year-old woman has reached her hometown Mendadi, located in Maharashtra's Raigad district, by walking around 150-175 kilometers in three days.

Raigad (Maharashtra): Finding no means of transport, an 80-year-old woman has reached her hometown Mendadi, located in Maharashtra's Raigad district, by walking around 150-175 kilometres in three days.

Reportedly, She started her journey from Nerul, which is located in Navi Mumbai.

The incident came to light when she reached to Mhalsa checkpoint on the 2nd of April. After learning her story, a police officer, named Samarth Single helped the elderly woman and dropped her at her hometown.

As the number of corona patients is rising in Mumbai, people who work in the city are trying to reach their hometowns as soon as possible.

However, due to the lockdown in the country, all the civil transport in the city has been suspended, which is making it impossible for those people to leave the city.
