Nashik: 5 members of a family die of COVID-19 within a week

Jadhav family of Rajapur Village, Yeola taluka of Nashik have lost 5 members to COVID-19 within a week. Villagers are shocked and grief-stricken following the incident. Covid-19 fresh cases and deaths are on the rise in Nashik.

Nashik: Fear and mourning have descended over Rajapur village in Yeola taluka of Nashik after five members of a family died due to coronavirus within a week.

The victims were identified as Malanbai Jadhav, her son Arun Jadhav, two daughters Shobha Satdive and Chhaya Wagh and grandson Amit Jadhav.

Malanbai Jadhav ran a grain store in Rajapur. She was ill and her two daughters had come to Rajapur from Mumbai to take care of the ailing mother. The next day, Arun Jadhav was taken to a local hospital for treatment. After that, the other members of the family started getting infected.

Within a week, five members of the family died one after another, leaving behind Amit Jadhav's wife, child and his physically handicapped brother. Amit was the sole breadwinner of the family. However, his untimely demise has left a huge question on the future of the surviving members.
