Burhanpur (Madhya Pradesh): Two youngsters allegedly drowned in the Utawali river in Madhya Pradesh's Burhanpur district while trying to take a selfie.
According to the sources, the two along with their friends had gone for a picnic near the ancient waterfall of Mahal Gulara. They were the residents of Burhanpur's Budhwara village.
The Police said that a youth slipped into the river while trying to take a selfie, seeing the friend drowning, another young man jumped into the river to save him but both were swept away by the strong currents of the river.
On getting the information, Superintendent of Police (SP) Ajay Singh, immediately sent divers along with the police force. The bodies were yet to be recovered.
