Token system starts in Indore's crematorium

The Panchkuiya Muktidham in Indore has started issuing tokens from today in order to properly conduct the last rites of the victims. The situation is grim in Indore due to Covid deaths and the crematoriums are struggling to hold the last rites of the deceased.

Indore: The Panchkuiya Muktidham in Indore has started issuing tokens from today in order to properly conduct the last rites of the victims. The situation is grim in Indore due to Covid deaths and the crematoriums are struggling to hold the last rites of the deceased.

Indore crematorium starts token system

The family members of the deceased have to call the crematorium to confirm their time slots for the last rites. The Panchkuiya Muktidham at present is cremating bodies from dawn to dusk on a daily basis. The city's other crematoriums are also under pressure as the city is witnessing a rise in Covid deaths.

Meanwhile, the state of Madhya Pradesh has imposed lockdowns in Bhopal, Indore, and Ujjain till April 26. The state's health system is also heavily burdened.
