New Delhi: Congress interim chief Sonia Gandhi has constituted a disciplinary committee under the chairmanship of Senior Congress leader and former Defense Minister AK Antony, to deal with the conflict between Digvijay Singh and Jyotiraditya Scindia in Madhya Pradesh.

After having an-hour- long discussion in a meeting with Sonia Gandhi on Saturday evening, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Kamal Nath informed that a committee has been formed to observe all the aspects of the conflict between the two leaders.

Speaking to media, Kamal Nath, also the MP state party chief, said, "I met Sonia Gandhi and she expressed her concern over indiscipline in the party in MP."

Antony Committee will submit its report to Congress interim chief after hearing both the sides.

The issue came into light after a clash broke out between party's two strong leaders Jyotiraditya Scindia and Digvijay Singh in Madhya Pradesh over the selection of party president in the state.

Following the clash, Congress leader Umang Sarang along with his supporters was also seen raising slogans against Digvijay Singh outside the party forum recently.

Ever since the Congress government was formed in Madhya Pradesh, Digvijay Singh has been continuously putting pressure over Kamal Nath.

Meanwhile opposing Singh's move, Scindia has freed himself from the responsibility of the General Secretary in Uttar Pradesh.

It has also been observed that Scindia has not been participating in any public function of the party since long.

This was Nath's second meeting with Sonia Gandhi in the last 10 days. On August 30, during his meeting with the UPA chairperson Kamal Nath said the party needed a new state unit chief after the Lok Sabha polls. Denying any differences with Scindia, he said, "It's wrong to say Scindia is angry."

Scindia was in the race for the MP chief ministership after the Congress returned to power ousting the BJP government. But then Congress chief Rahul Gandhi named long-time Congress loyalist Kamal Nath to the post.

Scindia was earlier this year handed over the responsibility of UP West ahead of the Lok Sabha elections. Last month, Sonia Gandhi made him chairman of the screening committee for Maharashtra, where the Assembly polls are scheduled later this year.

Due to the conflict between the two strong leaders of the party, Kamal Nath government in Madhya Pradesh has been suffering heavily.

On Saturday morning, Sonia Gandhi expressed her disappointment and concern over the infighting before party state in-charge Ashok Bavaria and Chief Minister Kamal Nath apprised her of party's situation inside the state.
