Robot will now welcome you at the Indore airport

A robot is deployed at the Indore Airport to guide the fliers. It is developed by students of Acropolis Engineering College, in a joint venture with Airport Authorities India.

Indore: To help fliers, a robot is being deployed at the Indore Airport. The robot will not only greet the visitors who land at airport but will also assist them in baggage collection. In case you lose your luggage, the robot will be there to guide you!

The Devi Ahilya Bai Holkar Airport is the first airport in the state which has started service delivery through an electronic device. The inbuilt sensors will allow it to move smoothly and guide passengers to their required destinations. It also has an inbuilt screen with a variety of options that you can choose to make your travel hassle free.

Developed by students of Acropolis Engineering College, in a joint venture with Airport Authorities India, the robot is working on recorded messages, so if you have got a complaint, the robot will help by playing them with telephone numbers of authorities who are in charge of the specific departments. Its body is equipped with an iPad, which can be accessed by passengers.

Director Aaryma Sanyal has said that presently the robot is static, but soon they will be made mobile.
