Mandsaur: Over Rs 80 lakh was seized from a car during a drive to check unaccounted cash ahead of the Lok Sabha elections.

A car carrying Rs 80 lakh was intercepted by the FST team in Shamgarh check post near a petrol pump. There were three people in the vehicle, the driver could not produce documents regarding the cash, following which it was seized.

During the elections when Model Code of Conduct is in force documents are required for carrying cash more than Rs 50,000. During the interrogation, one of the alleged claimed he was a cashier of the central bank and produced an old ID card which the police could not identify.

The case has been handed over to the Income Tax Department and the investigation is underway.

Intro: पुलिस की चेकिंग-लोकसभा चुनाव के अंतिम पड़ाव में मंदसौर संसदीय क्षेत्र में भी चुनाव होना है चुनाव के चलते सघन चेकिंग अभियान चलाया जा रहा था जिसमें शामगढ़ पुलिस को एक वाहन से 80 लाख रूपये वह तीन व्यक्ति कार में सवार थे। राशि अधिक होने से इनकम टैक्स डिपार्टमेंट को सूचना कर दी गई जिसकी जांच की जा रही। है 80 लाख रुपए की राशि गरोठ ट्रेजरी में जमा की गईBody:M.P. गरोठ (मन्दसौर)-शामगढ़ टी आई संजय चौकसे के अनुसार शामगढ़ एफ एस टी की टीम ने पेट्रोल पम्प पर चेक पोस्ट लगाकर चेकिंग वाहनों की सगन जांच की रही थी। रात्रि 7.30 से 8 बजे गरोठ की और से एम.पी- 14,सी सी 3215 को चेक किया गया तो पीछे की सीट पर 80 लाख रुपये मिले ।वाहन में तीन व्यक्ति पप्पूसिंह पिता सज्जनसिंह परमार निवासी गंगधार राजस्थान ,अनिलदास पिता गोपालदास गंगधार व रामलाल पिता कालूराम निवासी भवानीमंडी प्राथमिक पूछताछ में बताया ।रामलाल पिता कालूराम अपने को सेंट्रल बैंक आफ इंडिया गंगधार का केशियर होना बताया पुराना सा बैंक का कार्ड बताया,जिससे पहचान नही हो पाई।रामगंजमंडी सेंट्रल बैंक ऑफ इंडिया की शाखा से गंगधार शाखा यह रुपैया ले जाना बताया। रुपयों को गरोठ ट्रेजरी में जमा किया गया । 80 लाख की राशि अधिक होने व अधिकार क्षेत्र से राशि अधिक होने से । इनकम टैक्स विभाग को सूचना दे दी गई , टीम जाच करेगी।
