NCPCR dismisses report in sexual harassment case

The Child and Women Commission was to ascertain the cause of death, but the team could not even find out why the minor deceased had sleeping pills and at whose behest were the pills were being given to her.

Bhopal: The Women and Child Development team handed over its seven-day investigation report to the Child Rights Protection Commission (CRPC) in the high-profile Pyare Miya sexual abuse case, where, according to the points given, the investigation remains half incomplete.

After the victim's death, the investigation was handed over to a 4-member Child and Women Commission team and a new SIT was also formed.

At the same time, a magisterial investigation was going on despite which the NCPCR team reached Bhopal to investigate.

The Child and Women Commission was to ascertain the cause of death, but the team could not even find out why the minor deceased had sleeping pills and at whose behest were the pills were being given to her.

The time to admit the minor deceased is also different in various papers where one claims that she was given ORS solution since she was suffering from stomach pain and was admitted around 4:30 and the other says she was admitted around 7:00.

The Child Commission's team is not satisfied with the two investigations done by the Department of Child and Women Development and has asked the team to again conduct a correct investigation.

Previously, eight points were pointed out based on which an investigation was commissioned to the SIT by the magistrate.
