Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): As India vaccinates its citizens against Covid-19, the state of Madhya Pradesh on June 21 set a record by giving the maximum number of doses in a single day, according to reports.
But reports from the state also suggest a different picture such as people receiving vaccination certificates without getting inoculated.
The father of 13-year-old Vedant Dangre in Bhopal got a text message, which said his son has been vaccinated. Reports said the message was linked to a vaccination certificate where the child's age was 56. India's vaccination drive covers only citizens who are 18 years old and above.
Not only this, many families had received vaccination certificates for members who are no more, reports said.
The state government has ordered an inquiry while the opposition Congress party criticized the government's vaccination data.
