More crows die amid bird flu scare in MP

Mandsaur in Madhya Pradesh has reported the death of crows after similar cases in the cities of Indore, Kota and Jhalawar amid fears of a possible outbreak of bird flu in the region.

Mandsaur: With the death of over 200 crows in the past week in the district, the fears of bird flu have been renewed in the Madhya Pradesh's district resulting in people distancing themselves from other birds and animals.

Young social worker Om Badodiya said that more than 200 crows have died in the court premises, who have been buried his team following the protocols of safe disposal of animal carcass.

However, the scare has affected the sale of chicken and other meat in the area.

People are now eagerly waiting for a report by the Animal Husbandry department which has taken stock of the situation.

Dr. Manish Ingole, Deputy Director, Animal Husbandry Department, said that the post-mortem of the dead crows was done and samples have been sent to the Bhopal lab for investigation, from where only the cause of death of crows will be clear.

Earlier, Indore, Kota, and Rajasthan's Jhalawar reported a case of dead crows in large numbers.
