Liquor is a tonic for people, says Union minister

Union Minister and Member of Lok Sabha, Faggan Singh Kulaste, said that liquor is no less than a tonic for the people, especially during Covid times, adding it is a huge means of revenue for the government.

Mandla (Madhya Pradesh): Union Minister Faggan Singh Kulaste speaking about the unlock and opening up of alcohol outlets said that liquor is a tonic for the people during these Covid times.

He even went on to say that people were demanding the opening up of liquor shops than other essentials, and hence the government decided to open alcohol outlets.

The Union Minister of State for Steel further said that a major chunk of the government's revenue comes from excise. In this way, liquor also strengthens the economic condition of a state, that is, it is beneficial for the government to open liquor shops keeping in mind the needs of the people.
