Hospital staffers arrested for selling Remdesivir injection illegally

Two people, including a nurse, were arrested from Barod Hospital for selling Remdesivir injection vials illegally in Madhya Pradesh's Indore district. The Police have taken both of them into custody and investigating the matter.

Indore (Madhya Pradesh): The Indore Police on Sunday nabbed two people, including a nurse, from Barod Hospital for allegedly selling Remdesivir injection vials illegally.

As per reports, the duo was planning to sell the vials for Rs 70,000. The Rajendra Nagar Police have taken both of them into custody and investigating the matter.

In a similar incident on Thursday, Indore Police Crime Branch had arrested a pharma company owner for allegedly selling fake Remdesivir injections. The Police had recovered around 400 Remdesivir vials from the accused's car.

Meanwhile, owing to the rising number of COVID cases in Madhya Pradesh, the state government extended the curfew till April 26 in Bhopal and other districts, including Indore and Berasia.
