Madhya Pradesh Police who have arrested a man named Anurag Tripathi in context of a fraud case found out that the accused was a fake doctor, practising since 2010.

Satna (Madhya Pradesh): Police officials, who nabbed a man in context of a fraud case, were in for a surprise as it was revealed that the accused was a fake doctor, practising since 2010.

The person identified as Anurag Tripathi, had been portraying himself as a doctor with his practice set up across various hospitals in the state.

After arresting Tripathi, police have inquired and found that his MBBS and MS degrees are forged.

He had forged those degrees and documents from Rajasthan's Bikaner in the year 2010, police said.

During the investigation, police unearthed that Tripathi worked in different hospitals of Satna with the help of those fake degrees.

Besides this, he had practised in Umaria's Ayush Medical, at Mother Teresa Hospital in Panna, Jyoti Medical in Baikunthpur and Rewa respectively, police said.

Based on the evidence and the statement of the accused police have registered a case against Tripathi under the Indian Penal Code (IPC) Crime No. 248/20 Section 420, 467, 468, 471. He has been presented before the court on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, on February 17, 2020, Imran Mansuri, the branch manager of Bajaj Finance filed a case at the Kolgawan police station against Anurag Tripathi alleging of taking a loan of Rs 13,90,000 from the company but did not return. Following which police had conducted a search operation against Tripathi and nabbed him from Rewa.
