Sehore: Two persons were arrested on Saturday for allegedly raping a Dalit woman when she had gone out to relieve herself in the forest in Madhya Pradesh on October 7.
The accused Dharmendra Singh Rajput (27) and Bhawar Singh Rathore (26) were arrested from Dewas district.
Superintendent of Police SS Chauhan said," We were informed about the incident on October 8. The woman was allegedly raped when she went to defecate in the forest."
"A case of gang rape was registered and two people were nabbed in connection with the case," he added.
The Jawar police had registered a case under Section 376 of the Indian Penal Code and SC/ST Act soon after receiving a complaint from the victim.
