Bhopal: It is the nightmare of any family when a child goes missing. According to data, as many as 5,721 children are still missing in Madhya Pradesh even after the launch of "Operation Muskan" aimed at rescuing missing children. After a few children of the state were rescued from Telangana and Chhattisgarh, the state Congress hit out at Shivraj Singh Chouhan-led BJP government. Congress party said that the state government has adopted a lacklustre approach to search the missing children.
Speaking over the matter, Congress spokesperson Ajay Yadav said that children are constantly missing in BJP's reign in the state, hence, a special task force should be formed to search them. "Instead of avoiding the issue, the government should take strict action to stop the issue of human trafficking in the state. The government should immediately form a task form to search the missing children," he added.
Meanwhile, Bhopal MP Sadhvi Pragya Thakur said that something big will be revealed soon on this matter. It may be mentioned here that out of 5,721 missing children, as many as 4,576 are girls. It is pertinent to mention here that about 80 cases of human trafficking were reported from the state. A few days back, as many as 20 tribal children of the state were rescued from Chhattisgarh's Raipur district where they were held hostage in a building.
