Bhopal: Taking selfies inside a shiny new futuristic-looking semi-high-speed train can be a temptation which shutterbugs and social media butterflies may find very hard to resist. But for a woman in Bhopal, it turned out to be rather a costly affair as she had to cough out Rs 5470 after taking a selfie inside a Vande Bharat train.

No, she was not slapped with a fine. The woman along with her husband and son came to the Rani Kamlapati railway station to see off some of her relatives who were travelling by Vande Bharat Express.

After some time she got off the train with her husband and son. But the urge to take selfies inside the train was too hard to resist for her. She immediately got back on the train with her son and started taking selfies.

Then suddenly she heard an announcement being made about the train's departure. Before she could react a metallic click made her aware of the mess she just got herself into. Little did she know that the doors of Vande Bharat Express close two minutes before departure and open only after the train reaches its next stoppage.

Seeing that the doors were closed, she sought the help of the Railway staff. But obviously, they could not do anything to stop the train and let her get down. However, the kind-hearted staff helped her purchase online tickets for herself and her 16-year-old son till Veerangana railway station.

Upon their suggestion, she also purchased online tickets for herself and her son for the Shatabdi Express coming from Delhi which will stop at Bhopal for which she had to spend Rs 2400. She was finally able to return home with her son thanks to the Railway staff.
