Indore: Following reports of an alleged kidnap and assault of a minor, the state police on Thursday arrested an accused, who is reportedly a member of a land mafia in Madhya Pradesh's Indore district.
According to reports, the accused along with a group of men, allegedly kidnapped the minor boy and beat him up.
The events came to lights when the video of the incident went viral on social media.
According to police, the alleged assault was an act of revenge by the accused.
Earlier, the alleged land mafia member's son was attacked by several men wielding knifes.
The case has been registered in Vijay Nagar police station area of the city.
The police have launched a probe to nab the other culprits. Based on police records, the accused is involved in several cases of encroachment and other fraudulent practices.
