Bhopal: A case in Bhopal's family court unveiled just another shameful face of our society when a 3-year-old girl was forced to fight a court case against her own father for basic rights.
The child has been denied admission in educational institutions because she has no identity of her father to provide for school records.
The counsellor favouring the child in the case told that when her parents split up, her father refused to be connected to the child in any way. The dejected 3-year-old along with her maternal grandmother has now knocked the doors of justice.
In a heartbreaking case, an innocent 3-year-old has filed a case against her own father in capital Bhopal's family court. The child is fighting for her right to education.
The counsellor of the case, Advocate Sarita Rajani said the child was denied admission in schools as she does not have her father's name.
Rajani further disclosed that when the child's mother divorced her husband to marry another man, the father denied giving his name to the 3-year-old.
If the ordeal was not enough, the second husband also let down the woman and refused to accept the child. In such a situation, the 3-year-old was forced to live with her maternal grandparents after her parent's divorce.
Soon after the grandfather passed away and the responsibility to nurture and educate the child fell upon the grandmother.
The investigation is ongoing in the family court and the counsellor is giving an all-out effort to deliver the basic rights to the child. However, the father stands firm on his decision and has denied accepting the lone child.
