Wayanad: CPI (M) acting secretary and Left Democratic Front (LDF) convenor, A. Vijayaraghavan on Thursday said that the appointment of staff from an expired Public Service Commission (PSC) list is illegal and that's why the Chief Minister reiterates that it cannot be discussed.
During a presser here, Vijayaraghavan said, "The BJP ruling at the Centre has not yet filled the vacancies at the Central Government. It was Congress leader Oommen Chandy who cut down the validity of the PSC rank lists to one year."
BJP is trying to unleash violence by staging another protest close to the PSC rank holders’ protest venue, before the elections, he said.
Vijayaraghavan alleged that the United Democratic Front (UDF) is planning to expand the Nemom model during general elections. BJP and the UDF have come to agreements in many constituencies.
The lack of any reference against the BJP anywhere during the Aishwarya Kerala Yathra led by Opposition leader Ramesh Chennithala is proof of this, he added.
"The UDF is trying to grab the BJP votes. The BJP’s plans and wishes won't come true in Kerala. Congress is in the process of a meltdown. Even senior leaders with the Congress party have no apprehension to change stands," Vijayaraghavan alleged.
"The UDF is presently raising other slogans to cover up the communal alliance it has with the Welfare Party of India (a political arm of Jamaat e Islami, a religious organisation). First, let K.C. Venugopal try to keep the Congressmen together with them," he further added.
