Strict restrictions in Kerala on Saturdays and Sundays

Kerala government has imposed lockdown like restrictions in the state on Saturdays and Sundays. Only essential services have been allowed to function on these days. The govt has also capped the number of people that can attend weddings and funerals.

Thiruvananthapuram: Restrictions similar to lockdown have been implemented in Kerala on Saturdays and Sundays. Only essential services are allowed to function on these days.

Telecom, IT, hospitals, media, milk, newspaper distribution, water supply and similar sectors are allowed relaxation of rules. Hotels and restaurants can continue home delivery of food.

In case of emergency, people can get food from hotels. They have to carry a declaration with them.

Weddings that are already scheduled can be conducted without a change. Maximum 75 people can attend events in halls and 150 people in open spaces. Those participating in weddings should carry identity cards and wedding invitation cards.

A maximum of 50 people can attend funerals.

Train and flight services will be available during these days. KSRTC services will be available at 60 percent capacity. The passengers should keep their tickets at hand.

Higher Secondary exams will be conducted as per the schedule.
