Kasaragod (Kerala): The Bekal Police station in Kasaragod District of Kerala has got a tremendous makeover. The police station now looks splendid and luxurious in all ways. The police station building has been given this total modification at a cost of Rs 10 lakhs. Located on the State Highway connecting Kasaragod and Kanhangad at Thrikkannattu, the sight of the station even from a distance is beautiful. Anyone would be enthralled by the station that is well lit up during night time.
The makeover is complete, with modifications right from the entrance to the restrooms. Furniture, lights and the whole office set up has been given a fresh look. A convenient and well-designed visitors lobby meant for those who visit the station to file their complaints is one of the major attractions. Interlock tiles have been laid around the station building.
"A cabin for sentinal in the reception, special cabin for women desk, GD, PRO, SHO were arranged in the renovated building. Vehicle Parking shed and Garden were also modified as part of the renovation," said SI P Ajith Kumar.
The renovation work of the station was completed in 21 days. Besides the Government fund, a group of locals from the region have also contributed towards the renovation cost of the police station.
