Kannur (Kerala): DYFI leader Suhail Thalassery, who is believed to be the key accused in the Mansoor murder case surrendered in Thalassery magistrate court. The surrender came after his Facebook post claiming that he was not involved in the murder of Mansoor. Suhail said he was ready for a lie detector test. He also said Mansoor is like his brother. So far, eight people have arrested in connection with the case.
Mansoor, a Muslim League worker was attacked on election day. A dispute regarding the open vote ended up in murder. The attackers hurled a bomb in front of Mansoor's house. The post-mortem revealed that serious injury caused by the bomb blast resulted in profuse bleeding and this led to death.
