Thiruvananthapuram (Kerala): Kerala decided to reopen schools from November 1st, as the decision was made at a review meeting chaired by the Chief Minister here on Saturday. Though the government did not arrive at a confirmation in this regard as which classes will be started to function offline, the final decision on the same will be taken later. A set of guidelines on school opening in the state will be released soon.
However, reports saying that the meeting has decided to open schools for students from Class 9 to Plus Two, where as the primary and UP classes will continue to be shut with online class mode.
Meanwhile, the Department of Public Instruction (Department of School Education) has issued an exam time table calendar as Supreme Court allowed Kerala government to hold plus one exams offline. In the calendar, it is stated that plus one students of Higher Secondary and Vocational Higher Secondary will have examination in classrooms from Sept. 24 to Oct. 18 with one to five of interval between exams.
