Kerala: Police arrest two youths for vandalizing bar in Thrissur

Two youths have been arrested on Friday in Kerala's Thrissur district for allegedly vandalizing a bar by bringing weapons and four German Shepherd dogs into its premises. The shocking incident had occurred at Pazhayannur Raj bar in Thrissur on September 20.

Thrissur (Kerala): Thrissur Police arrested two youths on Friday for allegedly vandalizing a bar by bringing weapons and four German Shepherd dogs into its premises.

The shocking incident had occurred at Pazhayannur Raj bar in Thrissur on September 20.

The duo were absconding since then and arrested from Kulappully in Palakkad District.

According to the police, the youths, identified as Vaishak and his friend, attacked the bar as revenge for seizing their mobile phones.

According to witnesses, the two had initially come and got drunk. However, when asked to pay the bills, they responded that they did not have any money with them. Following this, the staff seized their mobiles and said that the mobiles will be returned only when the youths settle their bills.

Vaishak and his friend immediately left the bar. However, the two returned to the bar by 10 PM and began to destroy the bar. They had also brought four german shepherd dogs and threatened others by brandishing swords.

The duo had also threatened the staff and destroyed computers and other valuables in the bar.

The police have started the investigation into the matter.

Thrissur: Two arrested in connection attacking bar by bringing four German Shepherd dogs and weapons. Vaishak from Poonkunnam and Vaishak from Ancheri were arrested. The incident took place on the night of September 20 and both of them with dogs and weapons attacked the hotel. The police arrested them from Kulappully, Shornur.



According to witnesses, the youths, attacked the bar as revenge for seizing their mobile phones. The two had initially come in September 20  evening and got drunk. However, when asked to pay the bills, they responded that they did not have any money with them. Following this, the staff seized their mobiles and said that the mobiles will be returned only when the youths settle their bills. Both of them immediately left the bar. They returned to the bar by 10 o clock and began to destroy the bar. They also brought four german shepherd dogs and threatened others by brandishing swords. The duo also threatened the staff and destroyed computers and other valuables in the bar. Police have started investigating the issue and are currently searching for the two. Pazhayannur SI Babu said that Vaishak and his friend used to train dogs. There was a loss of Rs 1.5 lakh in the bar. 



Police arrived at the time of the incident but were unable to apprehend the accused. From the rented house in Vellapara, they escaped and hide in rented houses in Kottayam and Idukki districts. The police team led by C.I M.Mahendrasinha reached the place where they hide but they escaped from there also. Police also arrested those who helped them to escape. Finally, the police arrested them at Kulappully, Shornur.
