Thiruvananthapuram: The 20th session of the 14th Kerala Legislative Assembly convened on Monday with strict coronavirus protocols and social distancing measures in focus.
The MLAs and the staffs of the assembly had to undergo an antigen test before entering the assembly. The tests were conducted at MLA Hostel for MLAs and their personal staffs.
Meanwhile, Perumbavoor MLA Eldhose Kunnappilly was found positive for coronavirus. After voting in the Rajya Sabha elections, the MLA went into quarantine.

Security equipment, including masks and face shields, were distributed to members at all gates of the assembly. Instead of two chair facility, single chairs were arranged for the members, sanitizers were also kept on every table.
On the other hand, Kerala has so far recorded a total of 20394 active coronavirus cases, however, 37645 recoveries and 223 fatalities have been reported.
